  • Experience: Lauren worked for three years at BYU as a research assistant in Dr. Perry Ridge’s lab where she aimed to better understand what codon usage bias can tell us about phylogeny. She also worked as a research intern for two consecutive summers at the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Ecology (Jena, Germany) in Dr. Ian Baldwin’s lab. They performed quantitative trait loci analyses to discover plant loci that are involved in root microbiome recruitment.
